Kinderhouse Chestermere in Calgary offers Literacy Village classes specifically formulated for children aged 3 & up and are focused on enhancing their fundamental literacy skills: reading, spelling and writing. This bespoke program is tailored to individual learning paces with 10-week long sessions. Each student is granted a personalized binder with documented work, and teachers supply the relevant exercises for each student as they develop at their own speed. Additional practice and weekly reading materials are also sent home, ensuring a collective effort between educators and parents. Skills covered vary from spelling and phonetics to reading fluency and sentence structure. The schedule includes three days a week, with a tuition fee of $20 for a one-hour class.
