CHESTERMERE ROTARY CLUB

The Rotary Club of Chestermere is a local branch of the International Rotary network, a non-denominational, non-partisan and gender-neutral organisation established over 110 years ago by a Chicago attorney, Paul Harris. The club focuses on humanitarian work and service to communities, fueled by its members' passion, energy, and intelligence. It meets both virtually and physically to discuss various global and local issues, often inviting guest speakers to address these topics. Since its formation in 2011, the Chestermere branch has made significant donations to local initiatives and has also contributed to global aid relief. Notable contributions include more than $90,000 towards the Family Bike Park, establishment of the Life Jacket Loaner Station, sponsoring local students to attend Rotary's Youth Development Programs, Shelter Box Canada donations, and creating the Rotary Edible Forest. Prospective members are encouraged to connect and attend a meeting to learn more about the club's activities and ethos. The club operates one annual fundraising event The "Amazing Race," which is used to gather resources for more humanitarian work.
