Wood's Homes - William Taylor Learning Centre

A day treatment school run in partnership with the CBE. The school serves students living in the community or those who are residing in a Woods Homes Community or Residential Program.

Students are referred through the CBE, as well as Childrens Services, and/or Alberta Health Services in collaboration with CBE. The school works with students who have experienced serious trauma in early childhood and demonstrate severe emotional and behavioural difficulties. Specialized academic programming includes individualized program planning (IPP), academic testing and alternative educational activities for a diversity of learners (IOP curriculum, low student /staff ratio, advocacy and transitional preparation for a less intrusive setting). William Taylor offers two satellite programs for students who have demonstrated readiness and willingness to transition into a supported mainstream junior high or high school, giving students independence to attend different option classes.
