About this service
Youth Transitions to Adulthood (YTA) helps young people transitioning out of foster care or community group homes build the skills they need to live independently. Program staff help participants set goals, find appropriate accommodation, enhance their living skills, continue their education or find jobs, build positive relationships, and connect with supports in the community.
When availability permits, young people participating in the program also have access to accommodations at a 14-unit apartment building operated by Aspen with Peer Resident Managers on-site.
The goal of the program is to provide young people transitioning to adulthood with the supports and skills needed to lead self-sufficient, successful lives.
Youth need a referral from Ministry of Children's Services.
