Renfrew - Child Development Centre - Integrated Services for Children with Motor Disabilities

Renfrew Educational Services offers a program for children diagnosed with motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and who meet the criteria for funding through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD). Our program is based on a holistic approach that takes into account the physical, social, emotional and cognitive areas for growth of the child.

Using a trans-disciplinary model, we bring together a wide range of professionals who work with parents to develop programs based on family priorities and areas for growth of the child.

Our team approach involves integration of motor and sensory systems and, when necessary, assistive technology devices.

Developing the childs own internal motivation is a focus of the program. We do this by fostering confidence, self-esteem and independence, which encourages children to strive to reach their maximum potential.
