About this service
Our team of therapists and program coaches work through government and private contracts to support the development of young children. We deliver the Supported Child Care Program. The goal of the Supported Child Care (SCC) Program is to support licensed child care programs, approved family day homes and out-of-school care programs to successfully meet the developmental needs of all children. The SCC Program is funded by the Alberta government and administered by Providence in Calgary and surrounding area. It is free to access for eligible child care programs.
The program is focused on building skills for educators that:
- improve resiliency and protective factors for children in the early years
- support the inclusion and developmental needs of all children
- support best practice strategies for inclusive practices in early education
- support the application of trauma informed best practices
- enhance knowledge and navigation of available support systems
