About this service
DVRP addresses a need within the community to provide personal protection, empowerment, and safety to people living under the threat of domestic/relational violence and stalking.
The DVRP is a unique program and the first of its kind in Canada. For the first time, people with limited means are able to access a previously cost prohibitive level of protection to safeguard themselves in situations of harassment, violence, stalking, threats.
Currently there are no other affordable options to provide constant protection for people living with domestic violence other than through shelters, where only a small fraction of the need can be met. The DVRP employs state-of-the-art tools and trained personnel within the close protection industry, enabling more adequate protection for those being subjected to the constant threat of violence.
The goal is to provide an intermediate solution for protection to allow the police to conduct investigations and hopefully lay charges.
