Parkland Community Association - Community Garden

The Parkland community garden was established in 2009. With the assistance of our funders, and a lot of effort from garden members and residents, the garden was constructed using wooden frames and filled with soil and compost. There are 32 plots and each plot measures 12 x 4. There are also Community plots, or communal plots, in which gardeners plant potatoes, zucchini, radishes, tomatoes and onions to be shared. These communal plots are located at the north and south end of the garden . In the middle of the garden there is a flower garden where perennials grow. This flower garden is bordered by benches, and we encourage visitors to sit a while and enjoy the peace and beauty of our Parkland Community Garden.
