About this service
After some of our core members expressed a need to live more independently, the Supported Independent Living (SIL) Program was added.
Members of the community live in apartments or in alternate housing outside the houses themselves. These members require varying levels of support, which is provided from a team of three SILP employees and one SILP Leader. Some members require only an occasional visit, while others need more support.
Whatever the individual's need, the objective of the SILP is to support each person in their own personal, social, and spiritual development to enhance their quality of life. L'Arche is proud of its SILP and of the development of the members who live a more independent life.
