About this service
The KickStart Leadership Program is for children 7-12 years old, who are looking to further develop skills related to personal development and leadership. This free program is offered during and after school hours in elementary schools and communities throughout Calgary.
KickStart is offered through 8 sessions and provides children with an opportunity to learn and connect with peers. The 8-sessions cover the following:
- Self Esteem/ Self-Confidence
- Social Skills
- Communication Skills
- Decision Making
- Dealing with Stress
- Assertiveness
- Media Awareness
- Smoking and Vaping Education
For children enrolled who may require additional guidance we also offer 1 to 1 support session. 1 to 1 sessions supports children with various challenges, school advocacy and interventions around their academic pursuits; guide and support youth with justice, addiction and mental health concerns connecting them with community and natural supports.
