About this service
Alberta Education funding for children starting as early as 3 years & 8 months of age with a mild or moderate delay in development. Funding is available for a maximum of 2 years with the last year intended for Kindergarten.
- Im for Kids Team provides screening at our partnering private preschools at the request of individual preschools.
- We assist preschool teachers by providing appropriate support to children with developmental delays.
- Children identified with a Mild or Moderate Delay will be assigned a Program Support Assistant (PSA).
- Each childs program is overseen by an Education Coordinator as well as a Speech Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist, a Physiotherapist, or a Psychologist.
- Programming occurs within the childs private preschool and/or in a group session outside of preschool session. There are two IPPs: ongoing goal reviews and revisions.
