About this service
Family Initiatives collaborates with all family members to strengthen, preserve and reunify. By engaging and teaching new skills, families are empowered to improve their own lives.
Family Initiatives is a program that provides in-home support to help preserve or reunify families. Families work collaboratively with our workers, called Family Specialists, to help families reach their goals.
Some of the families that are working with the Family Initiatives program are ones that may be at-risk of losing their children to an out of home placement. Some have already been removed from their homes and it is the goal to help the children move back home. In these cases, our Family Specialists will help teach parenting skills and ways for the parents to be able to parent their children independently.
