About this service
The Early Development Centres (EDC) supports pre-school children who have been identified with severe delays/disabilities. These may be delays in speech and language, social, emotional, or behavioral development, and/or physical/medical development. Through play in a language-rich environment, we are able to better prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond. Early intervention support is partially funded through Alberta Educations Program Unit Funding (PUF). Family Oriented Programming is offered to all families enrolled in EDC and provides opportunities for families and children with exceptional needs to learn together and support their childs ongoing development.
Our program at McKenzie Lake School offers transportation services for a large number of SE communities including from Lake Bonavista south to Legacy and Douglasdale south to Mahogany.

Who can use it?
Children need to be 3 on or before December 31st of the current school year.
