About this service
The Early Development Centres (EDC) supports pre-school children who have been identified with severe delays/disabilities. These may be delays in speech and language, social, emotional, or behavioral development, and/or physical/medical development. Through play in a language-rich environment, we are able to better prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond. Early intervention support is partially funded through Alberta Educations Program Unit Funding (PUF). Family Oriented Programming is offered to all families enrolled in EDC and provides opportunities for families and children with exceptional needs to learn together and support their childs ongoing development.
Our program at James Short Memorial School offers transportation services for the communities of Penbrooke Meadows, Red Carpet, Vista Heights, Maryland Heights, Marlborough/Park, Abbeydale, Applewood.
