About this service
Throughout this two-hour interactive, fun, and non-threatening workshop, students will be introduced to the stranger myth and learn about tricks used by unsafe people to gain their trust. The main focus in this class is assisting children to identify unsafe behaviours in any person. The golden safety ruledo not go anywhere with anyone without permissionis explored with reinforcement games and discussion. Students learn tips for basic personal safety, what to do if theyre lost, and who to seek out if they do need assistance. They are encouraged to listen to their instincts and NEVER go against them! All lessons are reinforced through role playing and group discussions. The course is fun and interactive to ensure that youth retain their new skills and stay SAFE! Each student will receive a Street Smart booklet full of activities and tips for lifelong safety . Please note: Children under six cannot be registered in this course.
