About this service
Ee-Des-Spoom-Ooh-Soop, which means the environment that gives the opportunity to guide our lives forward in a positive direction in the Blackfoot language, is a culturally based Indigenous Healing program for Indigenous parents and families.
The programs goal is to increase the involvement of Indigenous people in their individual and collective healing journey by providing an opportunity to gain knowledge, understanding and resources so that this journey becomes a self-perpetuating cycle of healing, wellness and cultural renewal at an individual and at a community level.
Teaching is delivered through a holistic approach, experiential activities and includes weekly Teaching and Healing Circles, one on one support with an Elder and family support and referrals, leading to empowerment, change and independence. Childcare is provided.
