About this service
This program assists newly arrived Government Assisted Refugees with their resettlement process. It provides support and essential services for the immediate needs of refugees destined to Calgary, and transferees during their first 6 weeks.
A basket of services including:
- Individual assessment.
- Application for mandatory federal or provincial documents.
- Orientation and information training.
- Supportive Counseling.
- Enhanced Life Skills Support- practical one-on-one support.
- School Registration for children and LINC classes for adults.
- Securing permanent accommodation.
- Referrals and community connections.
Privately Sponsored Refugees are offered:
- Orientation and information.
- Assistance with mandatory documents.
- Referrals and community connections.
- Supportive counseling.
