About this service
The Afterschool Programs offers a continuum of high quality services to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of immigrant and refugee youth. We follow the four aspects of The Circle of Courage by providing a safe space for youth to be supported and empowered as they progress through grades 1 12.
Programs are delivered during the school year to selected schools, housing complexes and public libraries throughout Calgary, and run once a week for two hours after school.
The Afterschool Program offers 4 main components:
- Bridge CLub (offered at selected elementary schools and housing complexes)
- NxtGen Junior High (offered at selected junior high schools)
- NxtGen Homework Club (offered at selected high schools and housing)
- Homework Club (offered at selected Calgary libraries and housing complex locations)
