About this service
SeniorConnect provides an urgent same day social work response for older adults identified as being at-risk or in crisis and is available outside regular hours. Some crisis's may include: accessing food, clothing, or housing, or may be experiencing more complex issues such as mental health decline; caregiver stress; homelessness; or elder abuse.
If you are concerned about an older adult and believe they are at-risk, please call The Distress Centre 24-hr help line at 403.266.4357 and explain your concerns to the call operator. A SeniorConnect social worker will address immediate concerns to stabilize the crisis and connect them to appropriate longer-term supports.
