About this service
Our Senior Picnic Basket Program aims to help alleviate hunger and provide resources within the community to lessen food insecurity issues. Over the past decade the Calgary Food Bank has seen a 100% increase in seniors seeking support. As the cost of living increases, purchasing adequate amounts of quality nutritious food becomes a challenge to those on fixed incomes.
Every year in late spring or early summer we will be purchasing, packing up, and delivering picnic baskets full of nutritious food!
