About this organization
In 1972 a small group of visionaries dreamed of a special place where low income seniors could live in an independent living environment. In partnership with Westbourne Baptist Church they formed a charitable society called The Westbourne Baptist Benevolent Association and on November 26, 1972 they broke ground on this 150 suite apartment complex admitting their first residents in the fall of the following year.
Westbourne Place is a non-subsidized building receiving no monies from any municipal, provincial or federal agency. Since its opening in 1973 it has worked hard to be a warm, friendly, safe community where everyone feels like one of the family. Come see us soon and see how welcoming Westbourne Place can be.
