About this organization
Spectrum Volleyball Calgary Society was incorporated in August 2014 to provide a welcoming and fun environment for LGBT members to play volleyball in Calgary. Our members participate in recreational, intermediate and competitive levels of indoor and beach volleyball.
Spectrum Volleyball is a new name that replaces Inner City Volleyball. Since 1981, Inner City Volleyball operated the volleyball sport under the name Apollo Friends in Sports, a multi-sport organization that was created to bring together various sport groups in Calgary. Spectrum Volleyball also hosts the widely popular Western Cup tournament which draws over 30 teams and over 230 athletes a year from all over western Canada.
