About this organization
Our Foothills Family was born on October 3, 1965 in the Banff Trail Community Center when First Alliance Church chose to plant a church in NW Calgary due to a lack of worship spaces there at the time. We built our first church building on the corner of Crowchild Trail and Brisbois Drive and moved in on Jan 29, 1967. On Sep 1, 1990 we sold this property to Rocky Mountain College and bought the land upon which our current building resides. We moved into Edgemont in 1993.
We celebrated our 50 year anniversary in October of 2015 and we continue to be so grateful to God for all the people who continue to work to make Foothills home for all who come through our doors.
