About this organization
The Arena was built in 1981 and opened in January of 1982, at a cost of $3,650,000. The City of Calgary donated 25%, Varsity, Silver Springs and Scenic Acres donated 25% and the Province of Alberta donated 50%. Crowchild Twin Arena Association operates and maintains the Community arena. There are two arenas- Red and Blue. The Communities of Scenic Acres, Silver Springs and Varsity are each one third shareholders of the arena. The Annual General Meeting is every October. We discuss the finances of the fiscal year September 1 - August 31. As well as accomplishments and upgrades made to the facility throughout the year.
