About this organization
Camp Sunflower caters to children and youth with multiple disabilities who may be unable to attend traditional community programs because of their special needs in the areas of communication, feeding, and personal care. Camp Sunflower is a unique day program which adapts to the challenging needs of dependent children and youth in Calgary.
Our camp runs for six weeks during the summer months. The needs of every child are met with a low camper to counselor ratio, maximum of two children to each camp counselor. LPNs are on site each day of camp.
We recognize that every child is unique and exceptional and we make every effort to respond to the physical, sensory, visual and auditory development of each child.
Who can use it?
Caters to severely disabled children ages 6 to 19.
