Calgary Mandarin School

The Calgary Mandarin School (formerly Calgary Chinese School) was started since 1975, conducting classes on Saturday morning. Initially the school utilized the classrooms of Western Canada High School. It was later moved to Westgate Elementary School and finally to our present address in Woodman Junior High School. Mr. David Pan had the honour of being the first Principal of the School. The Calgary Mandarin School is a non-profit educational body affiliated to the Sino-Canada Culture Association. The later plays the role of funding and directional guidance in Chinese Mandarin education. The organization is headed by the President assisted by the vice President and appointed committee members. Membership to the association is opened to all parents and public. The school is run by the Principal assisted by the Director of Education and teaching staff.
