About this service
Our crisis support program is designed to provide specialized services to survivors and those impacted by sexual violence who are in crisis. This program is intended to help reduce clients distress levels, increase their sense of control, and develop safe and active coping skills. Our team also supports individuals waiting to receive counselling services.
These services consist of:
- Approximately 1-3 sessions, 50 minutes in length;
- Walk-in / telephone appointments available during business hours (at the main office in Bonnyville);
- Client support workers travel to meet clients at one of our satellite offices and/or where possible in clients home community;
- Client support workers are able to offer emotional support, information, resources, referrals; where appropriate accompaniment to medical and legal related services.
This program also supports individuals who are waiting to receive counselling services.
Our crisis support services are available from Monday Thursday 8:30am-4:00PM.
