Beaverlodge Victim Services

Beaverlodge Victim Services is an organization that offers assistance, resources, and practical information to victims of crime or tragedy. They serve the residents of Beaverlodge, Wembley, LaGlace, Hythe, Valhalla, Elmworth, Horse Lake, and surrounding areas. The services include crisis management and confidential support, guiding victims through court proceedings, and providing referrals. The organization also supports victims of accidents, sudden deaths, and next-of-kin notifications. Additionally, they host awareness and risk-mitigation programs, particularly for youth, and collaborate with police and emergency services, as well as other partner agencies. They maintain strict client confidentiality, except under specific conditions related to Ongoing police investigations, criminal offenses, or potential harm concerns. They are staffed by a coordinator and a team of expert volunteers, striving to offer round-the-clock, non-judgmental assistance. They also offer volunteer opportunities and are financially supported by several government bodies, including the Government of Alberta Solicitor
