Peer Support Program

Our peer support program is about sharing vital ideas, experiences, and information. We know that a supportive community is at the core of living independently. In our peer support groups, those living with disabilities are encouraged to share those things that shape their lives. The things that impact them day to day, or the impact that they want to make in the world. These groups are an exchange about self-confidence, assertiveness, healthy relationships, and more. These are opportunities to grow together. Our peer-to-peer exchange program is a back and forth of skills and hobbies that help people grow. In small groups, well come together and make a plan. Well figure out what we want to learn, and what we want to teach. Well sit back with a coffee (or tea) and relax. Well learn interesting things. Well share our skills in a judgement free zone. Well become more confident and comfortable together. Well go home refreshed. Whether its sewing or social mediathere are always interesting things to learn and share. So come around.
