Behaviour Innovations - Hamilton - Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention

A large body of research studies indicate that young children with ASD are able to make significant gains in their cognitive, communication, and behavioural development if they receive between 25 and 40 hours of Intensive Behavioural Intervention(IBI) - (also called Comprehensive ABA Intervention) early and by trained and supervised therapists.

IBI can be provided in the childs home (or at the Toronto location) by having Behaviour Innovations staff run sessions there.

The targets of intervention, the specific ABA procedures used and the number of hours of therapy are all individualized to each child and based on an initial functional assessment of the childs skills and behaviours. In addition, in all IBI treatment, parents are involved in the planning and goal setting for individualized treatment and in learning ABA procedures to promoting the childs generalization of newly learned skills to different environments.
