About this organization
Some of our customers may still remember Stu and Dorothy Young, the founders of Youngs Pharmacy in Georgetown.
The couple first opened their doors next to the Old Bank Building on Main Street over 60 years ago. They shared with the community a philosophy of providing superior customer service and good old-fashioned small-town caring.
The history of Youngs Pharmacy can be traced back much farther. We are a legacy pharmacy in Georgetown and a trusted and dependable fixture here. While our name has changed over the years, records show that we have been passed from family to family since at least 1857 when a pharmacist named Thomas Ruston took over Watson & Ruston, Druggist and Stationers, presumably with his partner Mr. Watson.
