About this service
The Belleville Crisis Intervention Centre is a community mental health program based within Belleville General Hospital, providing immediate, short-term interventions for adults (16 years and older) in psychiatric, emotional, or situational distress. The multidisciplinary team responds to crises such as the loss of a loved one, forms of abuse, or relationship issues, and also offers care to people suffering from symptoms of mental illness. Besides offering assessments, referrals, short-term crisis resolution, and information, the Centre can also provide consultative and educational services to organizations. Services can be accessed directly, without a doctor's referral, and are free of cost. The Centre is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., but telephone support is available 24/7. Outreach services are also available in Picton, Bancroft, Madoc, and Trenton.
