About this service
We provide some traditional activities such as moccasin making, cradle boards, language classes, traditional cooking, and drumming, support through dieticians, nursing, family workers and peers, nutrition and prenatal health counselling, prenatal health counselling, prenatal vitamins, breast feeding education, and referrals to other agencies. We provide these services through home visits, drop in sessions, craft and cooking circles, and one to one support. Healthy pregnancies make healthy babies!
The program features a Mom's Group that runs two days a week, Monday at 10am and Thursday at 3:30pm, which takes place at the Neighbourhood building in Vanderhoof or visits in the family's home. We provide services to families living in the Vanderhoof and Saik'uz area.
