About this service
hild and Family Services provides prevention and risk reducing community-based support to families in the Tri-Cities, Anmore and Belcarra areas with children aged birth to 12 years old. This program is funded by the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD). Referrals must come from a MCFD Social Worker or Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinician.
This Child and Family team respects the integrity of each person with a compassionate response to struggles families are facing, through a collaborative and attachment-oriented approach. These services recognize the complexities impacting families including the various forms of trauma, cultural influences, and systemic barriers utilizing a strength-based approach.
