About this organization
Needles and syringes are not recyclable and do not belong in the blue bag. Recyclables are pre-sorted by hand at the Abbotsford Mission Recycling Depot and sorting staff can be injured by needles in recycling bags. Collection workers can also be injured by needles put in curbside garbage and recycling.
Needles and syringes are accepted for disposal at the locations listed below. The drop-off service is provided free-of-charge for community members. Businesses, government agencies and non-government organizations are encouraged to identify their own waste disposal solutions.
